Jazz Brunch trio at Cushman’s Market with  Mary Witt, Annie Patterson, and John Caban. Annie, Mary, and John will combine their vocals supported by guitar, drums and bass for a fun mix of Jazz, Swing, and Blues. Come hear the music while eating Cushman’s delicious brunch food. A North Amherst institution, a sweet, cozy place to eat and listen to music.

lovesong cafe Fundraiser for Cancer Connection, bringing together great music and great causes.

Tea Dance Fundraiser with swing vocals by Mary Witt (bass), Ellen Cogen, and John Mason (guitar) plus Jacob Nichols  (drums). Easthampton Congregational Church hosts a monthly Sunday afternoon fundraiser for a local organization. Musicians will play for dancing with a fun mix of Swing, Jazz, Blues, and Soul.

Swing dance lesson beforehand taught by Lindy League of Western Mass. 2:30-3 pm

Live Music 3 – 4:30 pm

Funds will be by donation raised for Cancer Connection, a local resource for people fighting cancer. 100% of the door goes to Cancer Connection.

Gospel Jazz Festival fundraiser Pioneer Valley Interfaith Refugee Action Group includes music from various local groups.

 

 

Annie Patterson and Mary Witt, Amherst Area Gospel Choir, The Amherst College Gospel Choir, Knights of Zion Gospel Quartet and jazz ensembles from Amherst Regional High School and UMass!

Join us for an amazing night of music to raise funds for Pioneer Valley Interfaith Refugee Action Group  do advocacy work for refugees:

Political Advocacy: To exert political pressure at the state and federal level to increase the flow of Syrian refugees into the United States and into Western Massachusetts.

Hospitality: To undertake a campaign to make Western Massachusetts a welcoming place for all refugees.  Present efforts have focused on counteracting Islamophobia.

Material aid and social support: To work with the area’s designated resettlement agencies, currently Jewish Family Services and Ascentria Care Alliance, in providing for the needs of refugees who have been approved to resettle in this area.  The group has promoted the collection of household items for various “welcome kits,” bedding, and furniture for incoming refugee families.

Suggested Donation is $10.

Dance at Gateway City Arts with The O-Tones and special guests Les Boulevardiers!

9 – 11 pm:

The O-Tones will heat up the dance floor with Mary Witt’s sultry vocals and bass, joined by Kerry Blount’s soulful sax solos, John Caban’s sizzling guitar, Ben Kohn’s swingin’ piano and the incomparable groove of Jason Arnold. The O-Tones swing and they’ve got soul! They’ll keep the dancers happy with Swing, Motown, Blues, and Latin rhythms.

 

 

8 – 9 pm

Les Boulevardiers, a thimble-sized café orchestra serving up tango jazz and a shot of swing, are friends of The O-Tones, excited to play their beautiful music for the dancers. Tango, Swing, and Latin rhythms are their specialty! Come get introduced to this 7-piece group with accordion, piano, cello, clarinet, guitar and bass. Mary Witt of The O-Tones will sing a couple songs with this talented group of musicians.

Bringing music to seniors is so heartwarming and satisfying for The O-Tones! They love our music and it takes them back to younger days when they were out dancing. These folks were also listening to big bands. The Soul and Motown music moves their feet and gets their fingers snapping! This trio loves bringing that heart to senior communities.

Mary Witt brings her sultry vocals and grooving bass accompanied by John Caban’s soulful guitar solos and Ben Kohn’s jazzy and bluesy keyboard.

Always smiling, he joins Mary Witt, sultry vocals and bass for this fun duo series at Iconica Social Club in Northampton. The cute small brick building in the parking lot off Masonic Street houses music, games, great food and drinks, and gorgeous acoustics in their listening room.

Paradise City Arts Fest Northampton horns!

Paradise City Arts Fest Northampton horns! Come hear the sax and trumpet horn section collaborate with each other plus with guitar and vocals and bass. Kerry Blount on sax and Don Anderson on trumpet will blow their soulful and sassy horn licks under the big tent on Memorial Day weekend. From noon to 4, grab a meal or beverage and sit a spell to hear the cool Jazz, Swing, Soul, Blues, Latin and Motown from The O-Tones. Mary Witt will scat back at the sax and trumpet and John Caban will answer with his sizzling guitar solos. The O-Tones love playing this festival, alway lots of fun and variety.
