The O-Tones play a private company party in the Pioneer Valley. The O-Tones always love to be asked to play for a private party! Whether celebrating a holiday or a birthday or anniversary or just a fun get together, the band enjoys lending a nice atmosphere during cocktails and dinner, then adding heat to get people on the dance floor! Having played for this group before, we know they are a lot of fun and enjoy the music we spin out.

The O-Tones play Albany Swing Dance!

The O-Tones play Albany Swing Dance! We are thrilled to be invited back to the Albany Swing Dance! There are lots of enthusiastic swing dancers out there! Mary Witt (vocals and bass), Annie Patterson (vocals) and John Caban (guitar) will heat up the stage with their sizzling and sultry vocals. Kerry Blount on soulful and hot tenor sax, John Caban on fiery guitar, and Walt Chapman on boogie woogie piano add their sassy solos to the group. Holding down the groove, Mary Witt on bass and Joe Fitzpatrick on drums will serve up the swingin’ rhythms that the dancers love!

The O-Tones duo play an annual holiday party at a multi-generational, multi-cultural community in Cambridge. Such a fun mix of people and music and ages and cultures! We get to play our mix of Jazz, Blues, Soul, New Orleans, and Latin grooves in front of the fireplace while they socialize and eat foods from all around the world!

Mary Witt, vocals and bass, joins John Caban, vocals and guitar for a groovin’ night of music.

We love playing for private parties, including seniors reaching impressive ages! 90 is the new 80, but still worth celebrating, for sure. Mary Witt and John Caban join vocals and guitar and bass to play for this 90th birthday party in Northampton. Music from the 1940s sparks wonderful memories, for people in senior care facilities, including memory units, we’ve found.

New Year’s Eve part 1 First Night Northampton is coming around again! The O-Tones will once again entertain dancers and listeners at First Night Northampton. The band loves playing for this annual event because it’s a culmination for the year of the wonderful community of music lovers and dancers. No partner required! Come enjoy some Swing, Blues, Soul, Latin, Waltz and other styles in a friendly atmosphere.

Mary Witt (vocals and bass), Kerry Blount (sax and flute), Walt Chapman (keyboard) and Pieter Struyk (drums) combine forces to celebrate the crowd into the New Year!

New Year’s Eve part 2 Blue Heron Restaurant

The O-Tones love playing for dinner and dancing at The Blue Heron Restaurant in Sunderland, MA every year! It feels like going back in time where people savor a delicious  multi-course meal served in a gorgeous room. The guests love to dance between courses to make room for more food and trip the light fantastic. The band plays upstairs in the ballroom from 8:30 pm-12:15 am, so if you want to dance to the live music, make sure your reservation is for 8:30 or later upstairs.

Mary Witt (vocals & bass) will blend her sultry singing with John Caban’s smoking solos (vocals & guitar), Kerry Blount’s soulful sax, Walt Chapman’s boogie-woogie piano and Pieter Struyk’s drums. A fun mix of Swing, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Motown, Latin, and more will entertain the crowd all night long.

Listen to Funky Fridays with Phil, special guest Mary Witt of The O-Tones! Mary is thrilled to be a guest on Phil’s Friday night show that she often enjoys on the radio. Phil Straub will play some of Mary’s favorite funk and soul songs and they will talk about those tunes as well as anything else that comes up. WRSI, 93.9 from 6 – 9 pm.

Mary Witt grew up in NC listening to funk and soul and R&B on her round orange transistor radio with a chain. She practiced her dance moves in front of the picture window where only the wild animals on the farm could see her. She didn’t fit in the in-crowd, but this music transported her to a place where she could dance and groove to the funky music. When she started playing bass at age 30, she got to delve into the grooves that had been inside of her since junior high. Mary loves being part of the rhythm section as well as singing funky and soulful vocals in The O-Tones.

Concert for Seniors and their guests with The O-Tones trio. Mary Witt (bass) and Ann Percival (rhythm guitar) blend their voices in 25 years of singing harmonies together to woo the seniors. Joined by John Caban on guitar, the trio will entertain seniors with their fun mix of Swing, Blues, Soul, and Motown.
