The food will be delicious and so will the music and dancing! What a spread, celebrate life at 90 and going strong, with 2 friends also sharing the birthday celebration.

New Year’s Eve part 1

starts with First Night Northampton, a wonderful family-friendly event all over one of the top 10 arts towns in New England, Northampton! The O-Tones quartet with Mary Witt on sultry vocals and bass, John Caban on vocals and sizzling guitar, Walt Chapman on boogie woogie piano, supported by groovin’ drums will play a fun mix of dancing and listening music. There will be 2 sets with a break and a First Night Northampton button is required for entry. The sound is great, the people are fun, and there is room to dance! Swing, Motown, Blues, and more will help you celebrate your way into the new year.

New Year’s Eve part 2 Dancing at The Arts Block

is a beautiful evening of dinner and dancing! Come to The Arts Block in Greenfield, Massachusetts, a gorgeous renovated historic building. Dinner and dancing will be on the 4th floor with big wooden dance floor, high ceilings, and cash bar. The O-Tones quartet will feature Mary Witt on soulful singing and bass with John Caban soaring on guitar and vocals, Walt Chapman on rhythm and blues piano, and J.J. O’Connell on drums to make your feet want to dance! The O-Tones quartet play a fun mix of Swing and Jazz standards, Soul, Blues and Motown for dancing and listening. With the buffet, you can eat and dance, eat and dance, eat and dance. Don’t miss this talented young singer/songwriter with a gorgeous voice! Alisa Amador, a talented young songstress, is a natural songbird, having sung all her life with her musical family. She is a creative songwriter and accompanies herself beautifully on guitar and ukelele. Mary Witt is honored to sing and play bass with her at Lumber Yard Restaurant in Amherst. They will mix it up with some of Alisa’s songs, some Jazz, Blues, Folk, and more ,while you dine on the delicious food and drink at one of our favorite restaurants. Luscious vocal harmonies  with sweet sax, groovy guitar, bluesy keys, and dancing bass & drum grooves will get you on your feet!

Baby Grand Jazz 2017 Hartford Public Library

We’re honored to be part of this wonderful series, Baby Grand Jazz 2017 Hartford Public Library. Join us on Sunday afternoon, March 19 for an hour long concert, a mix of Jazz & Swing, and Blues & Soul. Mary Witt , sultry alto, will be singing a fun variety of music accompanied by virtuoso pianist Chris Haynes playing the beautiful baby grand in house at the library. The hall will ring with beautiful music, the foundation grounded by Wayne Roberts on bass laying down the swingin’ and funky groove. Mary Witt, founder and leader of The O-Tones, will enjoy a rare moment taking a break from playing bass, to just let her voice soar!

Chris Haynes, pianist and producer of Mary’s latest 2 albums (Groove Duets and Dance with Me) is a music professor at Springfield College, virtuoso on piano and accordion. He studied at Berklee College of Music as well as getting his masters at Ithaca College. Wayne Roberts, bass aficionado, studied at New England Conservatory of Music as well as Juilliard School and received a Masters Degree there. He has toured in Europe and currently Visiting Lecturer at Westfield State University, as well as direct Ellingtonia Youth and Adult Jazz Workshop at Community Music School of Springfield.

Red Shoe Ball fundraiser Friends of Children! The O-Tones are really looking forward to supporting this great organization through their annual fundraiser, The Red Shoe Ball. Friends of Children does Independent Advocacy for Vulnerable Children in our community, important work. Come dance, bid on fabulous silent auction items, eat delicious food, and celebrate and support this powerful and effective organization.

With Kerry Blount, Jason Arnold, Walt Chapman, Ann Percival, John Mason, and Mary Witt serving up elegant cocktail music, then groovin’ dance music!

Put on your RED SHOES and join us for a CELEBRATION of the wonderful work in our community, featuring an extensive silent auction, live music from the The O-Tones, and a delicious dinner from local star caterer Seth Mias Catering at the gorgeous Look Memorial Park Garden House.

Doors open at 6 pm, dinner at 7:30, dancing to live music til 11.

Tickets are $45 in advance/$55 at the door.

Dinner music Lumber Yard Restaurant. Join Mary Witt (vocals and bass) and John Caban (guitar and vocals) at this delicious Amherst restaurant! The food, drinks, and atmosphere are delicious, as well as the staff. Come share music and good eating and drinking while basking in the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Swing, Ballads, Latin, and more. Mary Witt, bandleader for The O-Tones will add her sultry vocals and funky bass playing to John Caban’s soulful, rich guitar leads.

John Caban has performed all over the world, influenced by Bonnie Raitt and many others. Guitarist, composer, producer & teacher John Cabán’s unique playing has graced performances and/or recordings with such diverse artists as –  Galvanizer, JC3, KJ Denhert, Green Lotus Project, Richard Bona, Alana Davis, planet JABR, Art Neville, Eddie Kramer, Bo Diddley, Kenny Kirkland, Organic!, John Cruz, Gloria Gaynor, Neycha, Gianna Nannini, Dispatch, drum ‘n’ bass maverick’s Boomish and many others. With roots deep in blues, experimental, funk/r&b, ambient and world music, a rich tonal palette & lyrical rhythmic feel combine to make his distinctive atmospheric guitar style blend with a wide variety of musical genres.
