Come hear a fun mix of music while dining outside on the amazing food and drink of Iconica Social Club in Northampton. They are open 9-2, but we will be playing from 12-2 pm in the Parklet which is now bigger since they got permission to take over the parking spaces adjacent. Lots of outdoor seating. Queue up outside. One party allowed inside at a time to look, order, and pay. Coffee/tea/espresso, cold pressed juice, pastry/cake/pie, breakfast and lunch. Lots of Iconica food and drink choices. And you can take some home too!

Each year the Northampton Arts Council raises funds for arts enrichment in Northampton Public Schools. It’s time again for THE end-of-the-summer benefit music festival! On Tuesday, August 18, 2020 Transperformance 30: LIVE AID will celebrate a global jukebox of solidarity while raising funds for arts enrichment programs in our schools. Your favorite local bands will transform into the same acts who graced the stages in London and Philadelphia at Live Aid 35 years ago such as Queen, Madonna, The Beach Boys, Pretenders, The Four Tops, Black Sabbath, Phil Collins, Judas Priest and more!

Unfortunately this year, due to COVID-19, we are not able to present Transperformance at the Pines Theater at Look Park in Florence. We will be live-streaming on Facebook Live, YouTube Live, and Twitch from The Workroom/Theater@33 Hawley. The lack of ticket and food sales revenue will really hamper our fund-raising efforts this year. Help us honor 30 years of bringing our community members together to support music and the arts by donating to this dynamic community event. Your generosity of $25, $50, $75, $100, or more enables us to continue this special musical tradition and furthers our mission of providing direct financial assistance for arts enrichment activities in the public schools and to local artists.

As two original members of The O-Tones, Ann and Mary have been singing and playing together for 30 years! Their voices blend in sweet harmony on Swing tunes and Blues songs from Ella Fitzgerald to Smokey Robinson and many more.

Swing Sundays at Hawks and Reed, a monthly dance on the last Sunday of the month featuring The O-Tones, is a great time to dance and meet people! No experience necessary, just a desire to have fun. There’s a swing dance lesson from 3 – 4 pm taught by Christine LeBel and Mark Page of The Lindy League of Western Massachusetts. Live music by The O-Tones from 4 – 6 pm features a great variety of Swing and Soul music to dance East Coast, Lindy, West Coast or just freestyle dancing.

Private senior show by The O-Tones trio in Massachusetts. Various combos of musicians play senior shows all over New England. Most are outside and masked and distanced. Bringing live music to people in these communities brings such joy to them, as well as to the musicians! Playing songs from past eras, Swing and Soul and more, delivers memories and nostalgia to these people who grew up with this melodic and rhythmic music. John Caban (guitar & vocals), Mary Witt (vocals & bass) and Ben Kohn (piano) love to groove and swing together!

Mary Witt & Ann Percival, will join their voices of 30 years singing together, as The O-Tones duo at Iconica Social Club in Northampton, MA. Mary & Ann met in 1990 at a Swing music and dance camp and later came to live in the same area to pursue full-time music together! They love singing harmonies together and are supported by Ann’s guitar and Mary’s bass. Their songs will include hits by Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke, Peggy Lee, Cab Calloway, Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, Gillian Welch and more.

Come discover this wonderful cafe, Iconica Social Club, in downtown Northampton with delicious drinks and food and great outdoor seating!
