What do you love about your job? I get to play, sing and play bass on music that I love. I do this with people who are inspiring and fun to work with. We play lots of different types of gigs from weddings and parties to fundraisers and festivals. Our clients are always so appreciative, generous and grateful to have live music at their events. There are a lot of things about playing music for a living that are very satisfying, and it inspires me to keep on doing it. What or who inspired you to start your own business? My mother inspired me to start my business. She was always coming up with innovative ways to earn money and spend her time bringing me to cultural events. She was always way ahead of her time and advocating for people who could benefit from her talents. Describe your most memorable project. We just finished making a CD, Groove Duets. This is my album where I am singing duets with 12 other singers backed by a full band including horn section. It’s been an exciting, inspiring, educational, and a fun project. One thousand CDs will arrive and digital downloads are also available. It was cool to sing with so many different types of singers on songs ranging from funky blues to swing to ballads, even a waltz and a rumba!
