Annie Patterson, Mary Witt, and Ann Percival are “Dear Ella”, a trio from Western Massachusetts whose repertoire includes Folk, Swing, Blues, Americana, Gospel. The band’s name, inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, is a nod to the many women singers who have inspired them. Singing in harmony is something these three highly accomplished musicians have been doing their whole lives. Now, as “Dear Ella”, Ann, Mary & Annie bring their individual musicianship and talents together to form a dynamic trio. Come sing with them, dance to their songs, and enjoy their uplifting and beautiful harmonies with guitars, ukelele, bass, snare drum, cajón, and banjo. Dear Ella trio gives music history presentations of various genres with some educational talk as well as live music examples of that style. This show is for seniors about The History of Folk music. With 3-part harmony vocals and guitar, banjo, ukele, bass, & percussion, they will serve up some Folk Music in a fun and enlightening way! Some artists that may be showcased are Pete Seeger, Woodie Guthrie, Elizabeth Cotten, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez May Erlewine, Mark Erelli, Amos Lee, Ma Muse. They will include traditional as well as contemporary singers.

Mary Witt (vocals & bass) is a critically acclaimed singer and bass player for the Swing and Motown band The O-Tones. She is also a music producer, painter, and art educator. Inspired by multi-discipline artists like Joni Mitchell, Mary enjoys the conversation between music and visual art. Ann Percival (guitar, ukelele, rhythm & vocals) is a member of the iconic contra dance band Wild Asparagus. She also sings and plays guitar with the New England Swing and Motown band, The O-Tones. She is an artist, visionary, and educator. Music is in her blood. Pittsfield Berkshire Athenaeum full band show!

Thanks to a Pittsfield Cultural Council and MA Cultural Council grant, The O-Tones will be performing in the beautiful auditorium of the Berkshire Athenaeum. Featuring four singers, Mary Witt, Ann Percival, Ben Kohn, and John Caban accompanied by guitars, piano and bass, this will be a fun mix of Swing, Blues, Soul, Latin, and Motown. Jon Weeks on sax and Jason Arnold on drums will be rounding out the 6-piece group for this wonderful show.

The O-Tones have played for public and private events for many years all over New England and perform in different combos depending on space and budget.

The O-Tones band is a great choice for wedding music! Including music for ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing, their genre mix is a perfect fit. For ceremonies, one can choose any instrument from the group (guitar, piano, sax, bass, drums) plus vocals if desired. They can provide Folk, Jazz, Swing, Blues, Latin, Soul, R&R, whatever the couple wants.

For cocktails, the mix can include Jazz, Swing, Blues, Soul, Latin, Motown, R&R, etc.

Dinner music can include any of the above styles.

And for dancing, all styles mentioned are available! The O-Tones can provide a full song list to choose from for any portion of the celebration. Then the couple can choose favorites and also mention songs they prefer not to include for any reason.

They can also add additional horns if wanted!

Some special song requests are welcomed ahead of time!
