Annie Patterson, Mary Witt, and Ann Percival are “Dear Ella”, a trio from Western Massachusetts whose repertoire includes Folk, Swing, Blues, Americana, Gospel. The band’s name, inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, is a nod to the many women singers who have inspired them. Singing in harmony is something these three highly accomplished musicians have been doing their whole lives. Now, as “Dear Ella”, Ann, Mary & Annie bring their individual musicianship and talents together to form a dynamic trio. Come sing with them, dance to their songs, and enjoy their uplifting and beautiful harmonies with guitars, ukelele, bass, snare drum, percussion, and banjo. Peace, love, and social justice are strong themes throughout their repertoire and mission, bringing people together through harmony and understanding.

Westhampton Field of Dreams with The O-Tones full band in a beautiful outdoor setting! In case of inclement weather, the concert/dance will be across the street in Town Hall. There will be fun mix of music for listening and dancing at this wonderful concert series behind the Westhampton Library. You’ll hear fun vocal harmonies and soaring solos on guitar, piano, and saxophone with a grooving rhythm section. Mary Witt (vocals & bass), Ann Percival (vocals & guitar), John Caban (lead guitar & vocals), Ben Kohn (vocals & piano), and Joe Fitzpatrick (drums) are joined by special guest saxophonist Charles Langford. Charles had his photo on Times Square this year, you can ask him!

Spencer MA power trio library show. Thanks to Spencer & MA Cultural Council grants, The O-Tones Power Trio will play in Spencer at the Richard Sugden Library from 6 to 7:15. Come join the fun with Swing, Soul, Blues, Latin, and more. With Mary Witt (sultry vocals & bass), Ben Kohn (swinging vocals & piano), and John Caban (soulful guitar), your feet will be tapping.

On Thursday evenings throughout the summer, the Museum stays open late from 4–8 pm for Sunset Thursdays, a special summer tradition that brings the community together for lively, inter-generational evenings of art and live music. As the sun begins to set, the grounds come alive with live outdoor jazz performed by local musicians curated by Northampton Jazz Festival along with artists of all ages drawing together, hands-on art activities, story-times for all ages, local food vendors, and more.
Sunset Thursdays take place every Thursday evening July 2–August 27. All events are held outdoors (weather permitting) in Bobbie’s Meadow, nestled within the Museum’s beautiful 100-year-old orchard. In case of rain, programs will move indoors to the Museum’s “Jazz Café.”
Relax on the lawn, explore the galleries, and enjoy the creative energy of the season!
Order food to-go from area restaurants, or bring your own. Feel free to bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. Check out our picnic partners. We’ll be hosting local food trucks periodically throughout the summer.

Live Shows with the best of New England Swing Bands! The O-Tones, a hot New England Swing & Motown band, appeals to all ages. With lots of soul, they’ll melt your hearts & get your feet dancing. The O-Tones band has been playing for events in New England since 1990 & is a dynamic entity. They are considered by many to be of the best swing bands New England. Over their lifespan, various singers & instrumentalists have lent their talents to the band’s fun & professional Swing, Motown, Blues, & Soul sound.
The basic New England Swing Band is 6-piece with three singers, sax, guitar, piano, bass, & drums, but this talented group performs regularly in many forms, ranging from duo to the full 6-piece and even a 14-piece big band! They can play for weddings, parties, dances, fundraisers, & other events. Perfect music for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, as well as dancing! They have many happy clients to recommend them.
